MAJOR INDUSTRY NAME CHANGES
Snap-Drape Forbes Group, the well-known British manufacturer of table skirtings and conference cloths, is changing its name to Forbes Group Ltd, as of 1st January 2010
Snap-Drape’s name is synonymous with table skirting and conference cloth, yet the group has, for half its 30 years, been supplying banquet and conference furniture under its Forbes Furniture brand. Its Alu-lite table, for example, has become highly popular for its combination of strength and reduced weight - virtues appreciated by NATO forces in Afghanistan and by the Marriott Rome, where 1700 are in use. Stacking chairs, lecterns, cocktail tables, staging and dance floors are also supplied by Forbes Group.
This merger of its textiles and furniture divisions enables Forbes Group to broaden its products further to include fabrics on the roll and soft furnishings. In addition, a new range of equipment comes becomes available through collaboration with Forbes International of the United States.
